Overview

Great Smoky Mountains is a class poster project that reframes a familiar landmark as a considered design artifact. The Linn Cove Viaduct anchors the composition as both subject and graphic device, its curve pulling through layers of autumn foliage and receding mountain ridges in a palette of burnt orange, amber, deep olive, and dusty sky blue. Flat vector shapes with hard edges reduce the landscape to its most essential read — depth built through layering, not texture. Bold condensed type scales large enough to function as landscape and headline simultaneously, immediate at a distance and deliberate up close.
